April First Friday
Last night was April’s First Friday, It was the first outdoor event in Lansdale of the year but it was too cold, so I set up inside the Dresher Arcade along with the North Penn Arts Alliance. At first it was just us and a string band and the residents of the arcade. But slowly people came out with their children and Easter baskets.
Children are so entertained and amazed to see me working on my paintings, which makes me so happy. Even some adults have a hard time hiding their amazement. At 7 pm, one woman asked me how long I had been working on this painting and when I answered “since 5:30” then her reply of “TODAY?!” kind of summed up everyone’s amazement of how quickly I paint. I’m very excited for the weather to warm up so I can spend more time doing some live event plein air paintings.
