Horseman (in progress)
I found a frame in the trash, it’s 16″ X 20″. So I went through my stacks of paintings to find a painting to fit it. I came across this unfinished painting of Eric. It fit the frame, so I sat and critiqued the mistakes and successes while it was resting in the frame.
I thought about frames and paintings I’ve seen in frames. I really don’t understand the big deal with frames but the North Penn Arts Alliance seems to be all about framing your work before displaying. So I decided that I was going to spruce this painting up to fit its frame. In museums you see a lot of frame paintings of men riding horses, so I decided to give Eric a horse.
It’s a bit wacky right now, since he’s naked and all. I need some time to think about how to progress. If you have any suggestions, please share your thoughts.
I just added a blue sky, it makes the painting a little less doomy.
ha ha, is he really naked?
