some fantastic artwork

Tuesday with the children

This week, I decided to take a break from figure art. I didn’t invite a model and I started painting a little early to include my children. They were so excited to be painters with me. Penelope painted very neatly. Milo started out with a brush but decided finger painting was more fun.

These are the paintings we made with tempera on cardboard. Penelope’s are on the left, Milo’s are on the right, notice the green splatter that looks remarkably like a rooster!  Mine are in the center.  It was nice to get a chance to use my kids as subjects, even though they don’t keep still for longer than a second. Leanne came over later and we also painted on cardboard from our imaginations. I may have a few more sessions like this without a model just to get a fresh outlook on my art.
